The Impossibility of Counting Leaves – A poem

I wander
Slowly
Through a forest of trees
Watching and feeling the soft summer breeze,
Causing the trees too many leaves
To fall as I fail to count them.

As I wander
Slowly
Through the forest of trees
Perfectly tranquil and calm,
You were the leaf I would not have noticed,
Had you not fallen into my palm.
